Whilst making the necessary changes to my new domain registrar I found myself needing a tool a little more powerful than ping for DNS query. I remembered a tool called "dig" available in most modern Linux repositories. Unfortunately I'm using a Windows host right now and don't have access to a Linux host. A quick Google search resulted in this.

It works quite well.

Go Daddy Free
My domain is no long registered with Go Daddy. I've been wanting to do this for a long time but have been putting it off due to laziness. My new hosting service, Dreamhost, made it super easy to transfer the registrar to them and the price is better!

Casey Willis * Bits and Pieces

One of my dear High School buddies, Casey Willis, recently released his first album. Casey categorizes his music as "An acoustic blend of bluegrass, Texas contest-style, traditional/folk and Celtic music. Instruments include fiddle, mandolin, guitar, dobro, banjo and bass." This album is a great way to end the day. You can fire up these tracks, sit out on the porch, and Casey's fiddle goes to work extracting all of the worries of your day, sending them wafting away with the breeze.
If you would like to see Casey's other favorite pastime, head over to my blog post John Day River @ Clarno Or. Look for the tall lanky fellow with a goofy smile all over his face.
I posted a widget in the right sidebar for you to listen to Casey's album in its entirety. If you like it (of course you will like it) hit the link below and support a fiddler virtuoso, Casey Willis. You can order a Compact Disc and MP3's are available for immediate download.

Dandy Warhol
Happy Father's day! Before I go out for a fine father's day breakfast, let me post the latest hijinks in the "Dan-das-man-das-levitan" section. Dan is representing the Samsung Galaxy Tab at Best Buy this weekend. Yesterday he took a silly video of himself with this new gadget and emailed it to me. These pictures are the result of a few frames from that video, and, an obvious Andy Warhol filter.
